BSL would like to extend our condolences to the family of Harold T. Horner who
passed away at the age of 84 on March 9th, 2008. Harold enjoyed our great hobby
in a way few of us do. His talents included locomotive re-powering and
rebuilding to the point of master craftsman. Harold designed and built his own
sound system for his railroad when there weren't any. As a charter member of the
Hartford Workshop he enjoyed the close friendship of Earl Smallshaw, Dave Bascom,
Al Kalbfleisch and Don Clerke.
My personal friendship with Harold began some years ago and we shared thoughts
not only on model railroading, but service in the Navy and flying. Visit Earl

He will be missed by all he touched. He was a nice man. Martin
